- I had to find this out earlier myself. The answer seems to be an
- overwhelming - no problemo. The only thing lost is whatever benefits one
- would get from the SCSI-II extensions beyond SCSI-I. From what I've
- gathered, performance would be bottlenecked at the SCSI-I level

- I just posted a query on this with regard to whether I should get a new 3
- connector all SCSI-II connector ribbon to replace the old one, or just
- get an extension so I can use the same ribbon and place a drive in the
- free floppy bay. The main question being whether a SCSI-II extension
- would work with what I presume to be a SCSI-I stock A3000 supplied
- ribbon. Answer pending (hopefully) in another thread. However, I would
- suspect that since the drive itself would have a SCSI-II interface and
- you can use the old SCSI-I connector, the are cross-compatible.

- Yes, this I believe is true.

- Yep, me too. My SCSI-II Fuji 1GB is due at any moment and I wouldn't
- mind knowing any particulars beforehand.
